MKR Miniature Cutting Insert, Solid Carbide Mini Boring Bar
The MKR miniature cutting insert has been specially developed for the precise machining of full-radius grooves in internal applications – wherever maximum contour accuracy is required in the smallest space. Made entirely from solid carbide, the MKR offers maximum rigidity and tool life, even when machining demanding materials at high cutting parameters.
The finely ground radius geometry ensures uniform groove shapes with smooth transitions – ideal for form-fit connections, sealing grooves, or functional surfaces. The insert can be used from a bore diameter of just 4.1 mm, making it perfect for fine-mechanical precision parts with tight tolerances.
The multilayer coating (AlTiN/TiSiN) provides high oxidation resistance and extreme hardness, ensuring thermally stable processes and significantly extended tool life.
