U Drill 5D with Internal Coolant, Indexable Insert Drill for WCMX/WCMT
The 5xD indexable insert drill from the TILL TOOLS ECO series opens up drilling depths to five times the diameter – a range where conventional indexable insert drills reach their limits. Equipped with WCMX and WCMT indexable carbide inserts, this drill replaces complex deep drilling cycles with pecking and retraction movements with a single continuous operation. At 5xD, lever forces and heat generation act significantly more intensely on the drill than with shorter versions – the design is specifically engineered for this. The body, made from heat-treated high-performance steel with a nickel coating, provides the rigidity that prevents deflection and bore deviation at this length range. Large-volume chip flutes create the space needed for chips to flow out of five times depth in a controlled manner, preventing chip packing from compromising the operation. The internal coolant serves a dual purpose at this drilling depth: it cools the cutting edges and actively flushes chips out of the bore through coolant pressure. The precise concentricity of the drill body keeps the bore on track and ensures symmetrical insert wear.
Where deep holes previously required special solutions or time-consuming multi-step processes, this 5xD indexable insert drill from the ECO series provides an economical and process-reliable solution. Additional diameters available on request.

Vollbohrer 5xD arbeitet zuverlässig
Der Vollbohrer mit Innenkühlung ist bei mir auf einer Okuma LB3000 beim Bohren von 16 mm Löchern in 42CrMo4 im Dauereinsatz. Die Spanabfuhr ist sauber, das Zentrieren passt und die Bohrungen kommen im Toleranzfeld an. Die Kühlung kommt genau an die Schneide, was der Standzeit deutlich gut tut. Sehr brauchbar.

Wendeplattenbohrer 5xD im Stahl-Dauereinsatz
Den 5xD-Wendeplattenbohrer habe ich auf unserer Hermle C 400 U in 42CrMo4 bei Bohrungen 22 mm mehrere Wochen im Einsatz gehabt, die Innenkühlung spült die Späne verlässlich raus auch bei tieferen Bohrungen. Die WCMX-Platten halten bei Vorschüben 0,12 mm/U ordentlich durch, Bohrungsqualität ist mit IT10 und Ra 1,6 sauber. Ein verlässliches Werkzeug für Serienbohrungen.

Läuft ruhig
Vollbohrer läuft rund und spant gut ab. Ordentliche Härte, gerade Bohrung. Spanbruch passt bei mir gut. Würde ich jederzeit wieder nehmen.

Vollbohrer hält seine Versprechen
Haben den Vollbohrer auf einer Hermle-Fräsmaschine an 42CrMo4 getestet, Innenkühlung bringt den Span sauber aus dem Loch. Gerades Bohren bis 5xD klappt ohne Dramen, Schnittbild wirklich ordentlich. Für den Preis ein echter Allrounder im Bohren.

Vollbohrer 5D läuft top
Vollbohrer mit Innenkühlung schneidet in Stahl sauber und zügig. Die Plattenwechseltechnik ist schnell erledigt.

Vollbohrer macht Spaß
Die Innenkühlung sorgt für guten Spanabtransport und die Bohrung bleibt im Maß. Hab ihn bei uns auf der Okuma LB3000 in C45 eingesetzt und er macht was er soll, die Standzeit ist erfreulich und der Preis absolut fair.

Wendeplattenbohrer macht Freude
Mit Innenkühlung ein echter Vorteil. Späne werden sauber ausgespült, Bohrung wird präzise. Auf einer Haas VF-2 bei Edelstahl eingesetzt, keine Probleme. Für tiefere Bohrungen die deutlich bessere Lösung als Vollhartmetall. Preis fair für die Leistung.

Vollbohrer 5D sehr brauchbar
Der 5xD-Wendeplattenbohrer mit Kühlkanälen läuft in 42CrMo4 sauber, Spanabfuhr funktioniert. Vergleichsweise günstig gegenüber dem Markenäquivalent, das wir früher hatten.
