SMBB Clamping Block for Parting Blade
The SMBB clamping block forms the stable interface between parting blade and machine turret – indispensable for any parting and grooving operation where rigidity and repeatability matter. As a blade holder, this mounting block securely accepts standard grooving blades and transfers cutting forces evenly to the turret position.
The solidly manufactured body with a precision mounting groove positions the parting blade exactly and without lateral play. Clamping is achieved via three or four M6 screws – depending on the size variant – which secure the blade with even clamping force across its surface. This reduces micro-movements under load and consequently chatter during parting, directly resulting in better surfaces and longer grooving insert life. With six variants from 16 mm to 32 mm shank height (H) and widths from 12 to 30 mm (W), the right version can be found for virtually any lathe and turret configuration. The compact dimensions keep the interference contour small, so adjacent tool positions remain usable.
The right foundation for workshops that want to put their parting processes on a stable footing – particularly where frequently changing blades and high repeatability are required.

Spannblock passt zum Schwert perfekt
Hält das Stechschwert satt, kein Verdrehen beim Abstechen. Einfache Montage und solide Verarbeitung. Für eine Werkstatt wie meine völlig ausreichend, preiswerter als bei den Großen. Werkzeugkörper wirkt wertig, die Bohrungen sind sauber gefertigt. Im Alltag nichts zu meckern.

Spannblock SMBB fair
Der Spannblock für mein Stechschwert ist preislich angenehm, hält das Schwert spielfrei. Für meine kleinere Werkstatt mit knappem Werkzeugbudget ist das Werkzeug ein echter Glücksgriff, die Werkzeugausführung bleibt auch über mehrere Chargen hinweg gleichmäßig und die Kosten pro Teil sinken.

Passt zum Stechschwert
Der Spannblock sitzt fest auf dem Revolver, das Stechschwert schwingt dort nicht. Für mich eine saubere Lösung, auch bei Abstecharbeiten an größeren Durchmessern bleibt das Ganze stabil.

Macht was es soll
Teil sitzt maßlich sauber. Ordentliche Qualität, nichts wackelt und sitzt stramm. Lässt sich ordentlich einsetzen und handhaben. Werde ich nachbestellen.
