SNMG-P3 Turning Inserts for Steel
The SNMG P3 turning insert is a robust, double-sided negative insert for medium machining. Its stable 90° geometry ensures high process reliability and consistent performance even under demanding cutting conditions.
The P3 chipbreaker with integrated guiding stage enables controlled chip formation and prevents chip congestion – both in continuous and interrupted cuts.
The multilayer CVD coating provides excellent wear resistance and thermal stability. The tough substrate reliably protects against thermal cracks, plastic deformation and chipping. In field tests, the new generation achieved up to 40% longer tool life and increased fracture resistance compared to the previous version.
