Maximize your material removal rate while simultaneously reducing your tooling costs with our robust indexable drills, also known as indexable insert drills or U drills. These tool systems are the first choice for diameter ranges from 12 mm upwards, where solid carbide tools become increasingly uneconomical. By using replaceable indexable inserts (ISO inserts), you benefit from maximum flexibility: in case of wear, only the cutting edge is indexed or replaced, while the high-quality tool body remains in operation.

Our indexable drills feature an extremely stable body geometry and generously dimensioned chip flutes. In combination with the mandatory internal coolant supply, this ensures reliable chip evacuation and prevents dangerous chip congestion inside the bore. By equipping the drill with optimized grades for the center cutting edge (for low cutting speeds) and the peripheral cutting edge (for high cutting speeds), you achieve maximum tool life and high process reliability when machining steel, cast iron, and stainless materials. Use these high-performance tools for short drilling depths (2×D, 3×D, 4×D, 5×D) and maximum material removal rates.
